Championing Land Conservation & Community Engagement

Benson serves as the Lease Program Officer at The Wildlife Foundation (TWF), playing a crucial role in protecting wildlife dispersal areas through land leasing agreements with local communities. His work ensures that conservation efforts benefit both wildlife and the people who share the land with them.

Role & Responsibilities

As a dedicated conservationist, Benson oversees:
Community Land Lease Agreements – Negotiating sustainable land-use contracts with Maasai landowners to secure critical wildlife corridors.
Wildlife Dispersal Protection – Ensuring leased lands remain safe spaces for migratory species, reducing habitat loss.
Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborating with county governments, conservation organizations, and community leaders to promote wildlife-friendly land-use practices.
Sustainable Development Initiatives – Advocating for eco-tourism, beadwork, and livestock coexistence programs to provide alternative income sources for communities.
