Meet Lenah – Camp Manager at The Wildlife Foundation (TWF)

A Dedicated Steward of Conservation and Hospitality

As the Camp Manager at The Wildlife Foundation (TWF), Lenah plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of TWF’s conservation camps, ensuring a seamless blend of hospitality, community engagement, and wildlife conservation. With a strong background in eco-tourism and conservation management, she is deeply committed to creating an environment where visitors, researchers, and conservationists can experience and support sustainable wildlife initiatives.

Leadership & Responsibilities

Under Lenah’s management, TWF’s camp operations have flourished, focusing on:
Sustainable Eco-Tourism – Ensuring that visitors experience Kenya’s wildlife responsibly while supporting conservation efforts.
Community Engagement – Working closely with local Maasai communities to incorporate cultural heritage and sustainable income projects into the camp experience.
Wildlife Monitoring & Safety – Coordinating conservation activities like game counts, camera trap installations, and human-wildlife conflict mitigation programs.
Visitor Education & Experience – Organizing guided safari walks, conservation talks, and interactive learning sessions to promote biodiversity awareness.

Passion for Conservation & Community Impact

Lenah believes that wildlife conservation thrives when local communities are actively involved. She has been instrumental in promoting initiatives such as beadwork projects for women, nature walks, and environmental education programs that empower local communities while preserving Kenya’s unique ecosystems.
